Aim
The Journal of Biomedicine and Biochemistry (JBB) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal with a well-defined focus on biomedicine and biochemistry, as reflected in its title. Its aim is to advance and disseminate rigorous, original research in these fields, providing a coherent and consistent platform for researchers, clinicians, and academic students of the medical sciences worldwide.
Scope
JBB's scope is intentionally focused rather than open-ended, so that its editorial board, published content, and title remain consistent with one another. The journal covers the effects of biological and chemical processes on the organism at all stages of development, from organ systems, tissues, and cells down to enzymes, receptors, hormones, and genes. In short, JBB spans the full spectrum of biomedical and biochemical research, from molecular mechanisms to whole-organism physiology and disease. Editorial Board
The associate Editorial Team of the journal works closely with authors, reviewers, and the journal's Editorial Board (EB) to uphold the scope defined above. Each EB member is listed on the journal's website with their full name, institutional affiliation, and country, and is selected for expertise in one of JBB's core research clusters. The size and composition of the Board are maintained in proportion to the journal's publication volume, and its geographic and institutional diversity is kept consistent with the journal's international readership and authorship. The EB guides the journal on matters of scope, the types of content it publishes, and the scientific quality of every accepted paper.
